"Personal Ledger" (the "App") is designed with your privacy as the top priority. We are an offline-first application. This means we do not store, process, or transmit your personal financial data to our servers. All data you enter remains strictly on your local device.
2. Data Collection and Usage
- Financial Data: We do not collect, transmit, or access your transaction records, account balances, or contact details. All such data is stored locally in your device's internal database (SQLite/AsyncStorage).
- User Account: No registration or login is required to use the App. We do not possess your email address or phone number.
3. Permissions
The App may request the following permissions for specific functionalities:
- Storage / Files: Required solely for exporting your financial reports (CSV/Excel) or backing up your database file to your device or cloud drive (e.g., iCloud, Google Drive) at your explicit request.
4. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services for app stability and functionality:
- RevenueCat: Used to manage In-App Purchases (Pro Version). RevenueCat may collect anonymous purchase tokens to validate your subscription/purchase status. It does not have access to your financial records.
5. Data Security
- Since data is stored locally, the security of your data depends on the security of your device. We recommend using a device passcode or biometrics (FaceID/TouchID).
- Backups: The App offers an encrypted backup feature. It is your responsibility to keep your backup password safe. If you lose your password, the backup cannot be restored.
